The children will be happy and delighted with this fun Mardi Gras game. Letter games are fun for all children, even big ones! The Mardi Gras' Alphabet game is an educational and fun game for the children to enjoy. For this game, purchase large colored letters at any toy store or they can be made by the young people themselves by cutting letters out of newspapers, magazines or even writing their own and cutting them out. The children should be seated around the table; the letters should then be well shuffled and dealt to the players. Each child has to form a word or sentence out of the letters which he has received. Another variation is to select a long word, and then in a given time to try to form several words from it such as names of well-known people, places, can also be given. Or, for the younger child, create a game that places letters in the center of the table and they must pull out letters that make a word. Mardi Gras favors make excellent prizes for a game well played and keep kids interested in the game. The more prizes they get the more they will learn too.
