Forget catch the beads, let's play, catch "the element". For those that are looking for an interesting and amusing game for Mardi Gras, consider this particularly fun one. Earth, Air, Fire and Water is a favorite game of a lot of Mardi Gras party goers. Now you too can play this fun game. To play this game seat yourselves in a circle, take a clean small towel or handkerchief and tie it in a big knot, so that it may easily be thrown from one player to another. One of the players throws it to another, at the same time calling out either of these words: Earth, Air, Fire, or Water." If "Earth" is called, the player to whom the ball is thrown has to mention something that lives on the earth, for example a lion or a cat, if "air" is called, something that lives in the air if "Water" something that lives in the water, but if "Fire" is called, the player must keep silent. Always remember not to put birds in the water or animals or fishes in the air, be silent when "fire" is called, and wait till count of ten before calling next element. For breaking any of these rules a forfeit must be paid. For the winners of this game, give out Mardi Gras beads and other fun themed party favors. They will love this game, even adults will enjoy the amusement it can offer to your party. It would also be fun to decorate your party room with decorations for Mardi Gras.
