THE KING and QUEEN of BOURBON STREET
For this game, place your guests names in two hats, one for men and one for women. During
the Mardi Gras celebration choose a name from each hat and crown the chosen guests as the King and Queen.
Seat your King and Queen in chairs. Use chairs with wheels to parade them
around the party throwing beads at the rest of the Mardi Gras party guests.
THE OLDEST COIN
This game is to occupy a little pause in the Mardi Gras event; it's like an auction. Holding a Mardi Gras Party Gift in your hand announce, "This Mardi Gras gift is for sale." It costs one coin of the earliest year. Have you got
any?" The players give coins. Keep track of who gave you which coin. Look at them attentively and say, "I'm given a coin issued in the year of _____. You now get another coin and say, "I'm given a coin issued in the year of ____. I return the first coin. Our auction goes on. Who has the coin of the earliest issue?" Continue the auction until you're given the oldest coin. Every time you
get a coin say, "going once, going twice,…" When you say "three" the auction stops and the Mardi Gras gift is given to the
player who has the oldest coin.
Mardi Gras WORD SCRAMBLE
Scramble up ten Mardi Gras words like king, queen, cake, New Orleans, Bourbon St., etc.. Hand the sheet out to each
person or team. The first one to unscramble all the words correctly wins a
